Happy to be me

Used rub-ons for title. Picked out smaller papers first then chose the purple paper.

8 Months Old, etc

Every morning I think to myself that I will go to bed early tonight. But it is hard most days. The last night was one of them. I thought I would pick out a paper for a layout before going to bed, then the whole idea about the layout came up to my mind. So I went ahead and did the most of that page. It is titled "Americas Got Talent". This was done for Dreamgirls challenge #2. Talk about the last minute... today was the last day to submit. She was sound asleep like that. I kept the first one simple. It was her first Christmas photo. I did the 2nd LO with same photo, wallet size. I first thought to make it more Christmasy with Christmas colors or more baby girl like using pink. But below is what I did instead. I used up the left over papers from the first page. This was done for SYC's chipboard challenge.

I Want Out.

One down 4 more to go. Boy, it was a busy day today. This is what I did tonight. Strips of green-brown paper and pink paper are left over from Love Elsie paper. The rest is Basic Gray. Title is Sizzix die-cut, using paper scraps.

2 more today

The first LO is based on a sketch from May 2005 Page Maps. 2nd one is for Page Plans #2. I just put photos on this blue with flowers paper first without choosing anything else. After that I had a hard time deciding on what to do with the rest of LO. I still think I need to do something else on it.

Delight

I used fabric for the first time. I am not sure about the use of fabric yet though. What it does to the papers and photos... Anyway this was done for NoelMignon's fabric challenge.

Layouts Today

Just for my record, I did scrapped yesterday, too. Another halloween page. I am just not posting it. Today I completed 3 pages. The pics on the 2nd and 3rd LOs were cut that way already.

First Halloween

First Halloween is the title of the page I scrapped tonight. Since pics used have people I am not in touch any more with, I am not posting it here. I may or may not be able to post the next one I'm about to work on....

My Little Clown

We are approaching summer, but my scrapping world is going into holiday season. These are her first Halloween pics. I was going to distress the edge of the circle, but forgot to do so. After I put everything together, I decided to put some ink on it using a Q-tip. Used stickers for title. Instead of my little... , I wanted it to be cute little... but I didn't have small "e" and didn't want to mix stickers.

Poor Baby

Because my husband and I went out for a little while tonight, I didn't have much time scrapping. Here is what I managed to do. In these photos, she was sick. Her right eye looked really bad...

My Joy

Again I scrapped crib photos. When she woke up in the morning or from her nap was one of my favorite moments to see her. She was always happy and was just soooooo cute! That's why I've got so many pics of her in the crib. And the pacifier she had in the photos was one of the two she ever owned. One in pink and one in purple minnie mouse pacifiers that Bev got for her. SYC is challenging us to use 15 or more brads a page. I managed to use 47.

3 layouts

3 pages today. 2nd one was done for Julie's sketch. The last one was for Lesli's. I was trying to use up a lot of paper scraps. The paper used on the first page was already used just a little so I finished it up today. The little circles on the second layout are from paper scraps I have accumulated. With the stickers used on the 3rd page, I tryed to comsume as many letters as I could. I was going to use black ones only but ended up mixing different ones.

Hi

Another page done today. Did for Noel's sketch challenge. I used chipboard flowers I bought today:) Cut strips out of Love Elsie's paper to create a big frame. Have been using strip by strip for last few pages. Hand-cut the journalling box again and inked it. The main patterned paper is from DCWV Nursery Stack which is almost gone. This was a great stack. I loved every design in it. To replace, not that I am making excuses, I got K & Company paper stack. Oh wait, I think I bought some more papers last week, too.....

Cute

I did this one quickly this morning. She was getting a little sick in these photos. Used up the left over paper. Instead of ribon and staples, I was going to stitch around the journalling box. But after trying and trying and waisting papers and thread, I just couldn't make it work right. Submitted to SYC's tool challenge.

Our Girl, Sleep Tight

I am sooooo glad it's Friday. It was raining earlier and is a little cold. They are predicting 80's next week though. I am uploading 2 layouts tonight. The first one is for Dragonfly Time's this week's sketch. I used these swirls the other day, too. I hand cut them myself. I inked these journalling strips. 2nd LO is done for Method Playground. The challenge was hybrid. Now, I have never done anything digital with scrapbooking. My first reaction to this challenge was "oh, no! I would have to pass this time." But then, I thought I might be able to use my Scrapbook Designer software that I've owned for more than 2 years. It was a birthday gift one year. I loaded the program to my computer but it was kind of overwhelming at that time and I never bothered to take time to explore. Another reason I was going to pass was the fact that our printer is out of color ink. To make a long story short, I printed same flowers black and white on a few different color cardstocks. I was thinking of creating a big frame with them. Anyway, below is the outcome. I used black cardstock for background for the first time as well.

Live, Laugh, Love

I used the same sketch I did several layouts ago. Since I don't have a circle cutter, I used edged card stock and using it as a guide, I cut a patterned paper into a circle. This circle, a striped paper, a strip of heart, and scalloped pieces are all left over from yesterday's page. I stamped letters using red and gold inks on a redish patterned paper and cut them out. Small flowers on scalloped part of the brown card stock are stamps. I am almost done with another page for Dragonfly Time. I've been waiting for my husband to get off his computer so I could use the printer to print out journalling strips for that page. I don't see it's happening tonight. I will have to call it as soon as I come home tomorrow so that I can e-mail both together. I also started another page tonight. Hopefully, I will finish tomorrow as well.

That Face

I was finally able to try this sketch from gettin' sketchy today.

Observer

I am very happy with outcome of the LO tonight. By that time she would roll and roll to anywhere she wanted and sometimes she would stop and look at things to study. Things that appeared nothing special appealed to her. (Pencil Lines #80)
Today, there is a new sketch blog called Page Plans was launched. I'm sure I will be visiting the blog regularly...

Sweet Girl, My Ball, Angel

3 layouts tonight. Actually I had started them last night and finished them tonight. When I was working on "Sweet Girl," I was remembering one of the sketches from Pencil Lines..upside down. I didn't bother looking at it. So it may or may not look like it. 2nd layout was something I just put together quickly. I was just going to paste photos on a paper and let it go. But after tearing the sides of a paper, I decided to do a little more. 3rd layout done tonight is for a sketch #15 of 52 Sketches...52 Weeks.

Yummy

2nd LO today. Quick and easy one. Since this paper was too cute, I didn't want to cover up the design. I used up what was left on a rub-on sheet (stars and darling).

That tickles

Here is LO I did this afternoon. This is based on #79 sketch from Pencil Lines. It may not look like it, but I at least arranged the flowers the same way where squares are on the sketch. On this photo, she is not tickling herself. I don't even think she realized she was holding her foot like that. The stickers and die-cut letters were used for the title. After putting the letters on, the baby blue of die-cut letters looked a little too light, so I applied some ink using a Q tip. This week will be busy. I am going to attempt to scrap 4 LOs using sketches. I have a rough idea for one of Lesli's sketches already. Have a nice week everyone!

Wonder, Wrapped Up

I bought some more papers today. Of course they were on good sale. The pics for both pages were taken on the same day. One of the pics was already cut like that shape. I thought of trimming it to make it into a lectangle but I decided not to. To make a title "wonder", I had to be a little creative with letters, o, n, and e. she was getting more and more active everyday. On the second layout, she was rolling and wrapped herself in the blanket. She cracked me up!! I sticthed all around the layout, on the cardstock. The arrows and journal tag are hand cut. I used buttons again.

My Luv

I really could't come up with any idea about LO tonight. I just wanted to get one done. I picked this title because it's something I could create using what was left on the sheet.

Silly Goose

Tonight's page was done for Julie's sketch #14. When I first saw the sketch, I thought I might pass this week. It has a large block of the layout covered with photos. Since I am working with old photos and most of them being 3x5, I couldn't find any photos that I could put them together to create a big rectangle. Anyway this is what I came up with. I skipped some photos I was working on and choose these 4. And I left the right side of the page blank. We used to call her silly goose a lot when she was little.

7 Months Old

Until I saw the new word on OLW, the title for this page was going to be something like "Our pride" or "Pretty Girl". Then came out the new word, BEST. So, the title became a sentence.
The outfit she was wearing was a gift from Bev, a friend of my sister-in-law. We got it at baby shower. I sent this photo with Christmas card to her and her husband without our address on the envelope. She got our address from my sister-in-law and sent us a card as well. (Boy, I have a very good memory!)

This is fun!

I need to be better with my camera being charged at all times. I completed a layout then found out that the camera didn't have enough battery left to download photos to my computer. So anyway I had to wait for a little while. If you don't know us or even if you know us personally, you are tired of looking at photos of my daughter with that Sesame Street play gym. I have some more of them. That means I will have a few more layouts. This is a promise (could be a warning (lol)). They may look the same, but they bring a lot of memories to me. Anyway tonight's page is of those photos. I will post this to this week's button challenge on Scrap Your Crap. Also, this is based on a sketch from Japanese sketch site, Serendipity. I haven't decide if I will submit this layout to it or not. I wish I could take better pictures of my pages...

Happy Monday

I've done 3 pages tonight. First one is titled "Angel". Why did I create this one? Because there was a photo. I put it on a patterned paper and that was pretty much it. 2nd one titled "Let Me Out" was done for Scrapjacked. This is my first time playing. Those bars of side of the crib made her look like she is in jail. I used to love seeing her and taking photos of her when she just woke up in the morning or from her nap. She would have a big smile for me. The last one was done with photos of her with a bank. That (of course the bank not the money) was a gift. Some baby items were in it. I used a sketch from Dragonfly Time.

Some more layouts this weekend

It is Sunday evening and about time to wrap up with whatever I have been doing. I did taxes today. I am so glad it's done. I am posting 3 layouts today. I have started another one but I may or may not finish today. 2 new sketches on the challenge blogs I have been participating came out today. They both look really challenging. I flipped some pages of my old album, but so far no inspiration. I also found a couple more challenge blogs that appear to be a lot of fun to join. One is Greta's Scrap Your CRAP which I submitted my LO yesterday with felt challenge. Also there are 2 aketches that I am holding onto and am hoping to do before month-end. So many fun places to visit (blogs I mean) out there. I really wish I had more time scrapping. Will see if I can actually complete.

Well, my first one today is of a photo taken and given by Megan's babysitter. It was taken at her home. Her daughter is holding Megan. Both babysitter and her daughter loved Megan very much and Megan loved them, too. I am very thankful that they took her in like one of their own.

Layouts

Well, I've got a couple of comments left on my blog recently. Now that I know there is at least one person that visits my blog, I will try to write something about something... maybe a little more about my pages. I am warning you now... it will probably boring. But here it goes... Yesterday was a stormy day. Power was out for a while. They were saying it would last for a long time. So I was thinking I would go to bed early and it would be probably good for me since I didn't sleep very much the night before. But power was already back on when I got home from work. I scrapped and stayed up late. Today was sunny but was a little cold for me. I slept in this morning though. I think I caught up with my sleep. Below are the layouts I scrapped this afternoon. First one is her monthly growth report. I used buttons again. Green and pink flowers on the second layout are my purchase today. There is a button on center of the smaller green flower. I will submit the last one "Pretty as a flower" to felt challenge on Scrap Your CRAP later. I just discovered this challenge blog last night. Blue flower frame, 2 strips of flowers, and a small pink flower on the layered flower are all felt. I hand cut stem and leaves from a patterned paper. Those felt flower strips are meant to be flower bush. I used some buttons, too :)

I just can't take better pictures of this layout. This has to do.
Pencil Lines #78.

So Blessed

Did this LO for OLW. I thought I wouldn't be able to make it, but I did. I used a mask for the first time. I used a red ink first, then applied pink chalk ink.

Girly

Used left over patterned paper from yesterday's layout. Didn't have R and L. So B became R and Z became L.

12x12 Layouts

Now I have caught up with posting layouts that I have scrapped last few days. The first one is one of the last pages from San Francisco trip photos. I am not going to post the rest (3 to be exact). One titled "Heaven Sent" is for 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #13. I did that last night. One titled "Amazing Megan" is the layout I did tonight. Although 2 top photos came out dark, they are very precious to me. I don't know how she could be comfortable, but she was sound asleep and that's how she used to sleep those days.
