Inspire

This was my first time to scrap with this color combo-- brown and orange. It was kinda hard because these colors blend each other very easily. I did this for a challenge at Use Your Stash.

Blue

Julie has launched a scrappin challenge blog called These Are a Few of My Favorite Things. When she revealed the first challenge on 7/15, I ordered some photos thinking I was going to scrap the recent photo(s). But the printing machine at a 1 hour photo place I use was down. I normally order on-line at home and pick them up on my way home from work the next day. When I went to pick them up and was told the printer was down, I had no idea it was going to be this long. It had happened before a few times and each time took a day or two. This time, I gave up on them. The due date is approaching and I decided to use an older photo. Their very first challenge is to create a page about favorite color. BTW there are a couple of girls I know ( not in person, you know what I mean ) on their design team and all the names and their work are very familier to lots of scrappers out there. My dd always loved blue. When she was little, I tried to influence her and tried to make her like pink, but it never worked. Her favorite color always was blue. Interestingly, she now loves pink. Go figure!

Moro Rock

Organization is something I think every body wants to be good at. I know I do. I'm posting a page about a camping trip that we made a few summers ago and a box that I store some embellies. I decorated an empty box for this. Since I move it a lot, I kept it simple. Both of these are BASB's current challenge. Liz is sharing some cute and practical organizational ideas there as well.

Giveaway on Candy Shoppe Designs

I created a post about Candy Shoppe Designs last month. Their challenge blog will launch on 9/1/09. That's still more than a month away. But they don't wait until then to have fun. They have done a couple of pre-challenges already and now they are giving away 4 Hawaiian RAKs. I wonder what they are.... but I know anything Hawaiian is either pretty or yummy (LOL). It is very easy to enter for this one. So hop over there and check it out :)

Our Great Memory

I don't know why we distress the perfectly fine papers. But I love my distresser and distressing with it. That's the challenge on Scrapping out Loud this week. I also used their sketch of the week. I scrapped a photo taken at California Adventure park. Ferris Wheel ride in the photo was a lot scarier than it looked!! Those baskets rock back and forth as well as going circles all the way around the wheel. My dd thought it was fun and kept laughing until we got off.

Christmas in July Crop

That's what I am planning on participating this Saturday. Hope to see you there :)

Love does not measure....

I created this one for the current challenge at Dreamgirls. The challenge is to use the word measure, to use measuring tape, and to include inking and sanding. I like how this one turned out. Those Kaisercraft papers are so pretty!

Disney Pages

Here are a couple of layouts from the same lunch I have already created some pages for. The first one titled Captain Mickey was done based on a sketch from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks and the second page titled Limited Edition was done based on a sketch from Pink Sketches. These photos don't really need journaling. For one I have created some pages already. For another, the pictures speak themselves :)

Bella Blvd: Sneak Peek

Bella Blvd will release 4 brand new collections next week at CHA. They haven't revealed them entirely. But me personally, I want to see Camping & Outdoors line first :) Check out their post here for sneak peeks of all 4. They are celebrating this with a giveaway!!

Bliss

I created this page for Method Playground challenge. It is to simplify your layout. You can use some cardstock, one patterned paper, markers and paints. I used a double sided K & Co paper. I also used white paint for the title. Blue and green cardstocks are from my scrap pile. I like how this page turned out. I should do this more often :)

By the Sea

I scrapped this page tonight for the current challenge over at Theatre Love challenges. The piece is "By the Sea" from "Sweeney Todd". My dd loves this show. She even likes all the bloody scenes. She would watch the show and would sing along..... Anyway, I had ordered a couple of beach photos for this challenge. But their printing machine at a store is down.... it's been down for a few days now and I don't know when I can pick them up. They said they are waiting for a part. So much for 1 hour photo!! So, I decided to do with these photos. I wanted to make sure I completed this one. I love their challenges :):)

How I Painted at 3 & Fun

I am posting 2 pages tonight. I almost finished the second one last night though. We went out to eat yesterday to celebrate my MIL's birthday and got home late. By the time I got the page almost done, I was soooooo tired. The first page titled "This is how I painted at 3" was created based on a sketch from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks. I used the photos of my dd's painting that she did at school.

Scrapping Across The Universe

Scrapping Across The Universe is one of the most fun scrappin challenge blogs out there and I have been participating on and off. Bree, the founder of the blog, has lots of exciting stuff planned for us! They offer challenges twice a month which is very manageable. Their new challenge is up now. So go check this post out. You will find just more than the prompt :):)

I scrapped this page last night. This layout was created inspired by the song of the week on Scrapping the Music; What I like about you. I used this photo of my dd taken before we went to a recital.

Here is a page I did using paint. It is the current challenge over at Cafe Mojo. I really wish I could come up with some clever idea but this is all I could do....

Monkey Girl & 2 more pages

These are the pages I made based on sketches from Capture These Sketches. For the first layout titled Monkey Girl, I used Cosmo Cricket papers that I received Friday from Megan Klauer. It was a prize from The Story Matters. The sketch looked hard at first, but this paper collection came just in time to give me this idea :)

Star

Here is a page I made using Hanneke's pretty sketch. This is for a sketch challenge over at Scrappy Times. They chose me as a member of the month and I am a guest designer as well. Hope you join us there :)

Happy Fishing

TGIF!! I am posting a page I made a couple of days ago using a sketch from Capture These Sketches. This will be my entry to wij DUS's outside photo challenge. We went to a park to have some fun on Mother's day. But we did Daddy's favorite activity!!! ... LOL It was very windy and fish wasn't biting. We still had a good time though :)

Me & My Best Daddy

Aren't they cute both in pink and black ?? I made this page using a sketch from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks.

Glad You Came

I made this page tonight inspired by Cheer's theme song. It is the song of the week on Scrapping the Music. I messed up the dates last week and missed deadline so this week I made sure I would work on this early. I also used Sue's sketch from My Sketch World. In this picture, she was holding the (I forgot the name of this type of album) mini album she made. She was invited to her friend's birthday party and it was crop party at LSS!! She brought the photos from our trip to Sequoia National Park and she picked out green papers for her album.

Melissa's Giveaway

Melissa is giving away a Cattlebug on her blog, Creating from the Heart. She will include some embossing folders and die cutting folders to go with it as well. If you are interested, check it out !!

I've been productive...

Hope everybody had a good 4th. We went to my husband's sister's for BBQ. We had a very good time. After my husband's parents left, we stayed and talked to my sister-in-law and her husband for a while. We had a nice visit. Despite of a limited scrappin time, I managed to create this many this weekend. I actually made one more. But I can't post that one yet. Most of these pages were created using sketches... from Capture These Sketches, 52 Sketches...52 Weeks, and Pink Sketch. Snow White layout was done for Scrapping Around the Clock's monochromatic challenge. And the stitching on it was for Method Playground's stitching challenge. The last one was for Scrappy Times' Suzy Blu inspo.

Ed's Sketch, Got Stamp ?

Edleen has invited me to be a guest designer of July for her sketch blog; Ed's Sketch, Got Stamp ?. Isn't she sweet !? She runs multiple blogs and I regularly participate one of them called {Create} make it happen. Her sketch blog is designed to inspire us with her original sketches and the use of stamps. I am not much of a stamper but I managed to create this page. For the month of July, you use a sentiment stamp. So please check out Ed's sketch and see what the talented designers came up with. They are all fantastic!!
