Just a quick post to upload this layout created based on a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. It's Sunday evening and I have a lot to do. So I've got to go....

You
I almost forgot to post this one. Since I sprayed the yellow background paper with brown glimmer mist, I had this page under a couple of paper pads to flatten the corners. This page was created based on a sketch from The Scrappiest.

You crack me up!
This week's sketch from Sketchy Thursdays is totally yummy!! I fell in love with it at the first sight :):) It's so versatile you can make it as simple as you like or add lots of embellies to it. I chose to make it simple. I whipped this page up fairly quickly (well, for me). I even took a short cut on the title by using a sticker. And the fact that I was able to use some scraps is an added bonus! The blue one is not a complete circle! I got a feeling I would use this sketch again :)

All Girl
I didn't think I could finish this page tonight. It took me a while to choose these photos. Anyway, I am glad I was able to. This page was created based on the current sketch from The Scrappiest. It is such a cute sketch I had fun working with it :)

2010 Project 12 Title Page
I finally made a title page for my project 12 (see the project 12 icon on my side bar). It's been on my mind since the first of the year but couldn't come up with any idea. I initially thought of taking a pic of my dd and cut it out, making a circle layout, etc. Anyway, I wanted a new photo, so I took this photo yesterday and had it printed, picked it up today and scrapped this page. It turned out to be quite simple. But I think it would suit the cover page. The color pink is her fav color, so I chose it to be the main color. For the numbers "2010", I stamped with white paint on black cardstock. Since the background paper is glittered, I had to use Zip Dry glue to adhere the Thickers even though they were already the stickers. I am going to submit this page to Davinie's blog :)

Lovin' Sketches
These are the pages I created last week. All done based on sketches. I just love working with sketches. They do make my scrapping easier. They eliminate a great deal of my frustration. There are lots of talented scrappers out there to keep me busy. I am so grateful for them to share their designs. From the top to the bottom, these pages were created based on sketches from Creative Scrappers, The Scrappiest, Sketch Inspiration, and So Sketchy.

Fly
I sprayed pink glimmer mist on a Cosmo Cricket paper and I had to leave it under a big stack of papers over night to keep it flat. But it is still curled up some. I made this page using this week's sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. I wanted to keep it simple I am holding myself down... LOL... otherwise I would be reaching for some more embellies...LOL. I will add some journalling on the circle later.
Care Free
Happy Sunday! It's still cold here. 21 degrees at 11:00 in the morning..... I will be drinking coffee and hot tea all day. I am posting this layout this morning that I created yesterday based on a sketch from The Scrappiest. Some of my favorite sketch and challenge sites closed at the end of December and I had been eying on The Scrappiest for a while. It's January.... a new year, a new month, new goals.... it's a good time to start something new. I have some old cardstocks that I want to use up this year. Those are the ones that came in a multi color packages and I don't particularly like the colors. For this page, I used a violet color one for the background. I glimmer-misted to tone down the color.

explore & good times
This week's been VERY cold here. For example, it was 15 degrees when I was going to work in the morning yesterday, it was 26 degrees at lunch time, and went down to 21 degrees when I was coming home. It is about 25 degrees now this afternoon. We left cabinets doors open and water running all night this week. I hope you stay warm whereever you are. Anyways, I am positing these pages today. The first one was done based on a sketch from So Sketchy and the second one was done using a sketch from Scrapbook Challenges. Both sketches seemed to be hard to work with at first, but I'm so glad I did :)

Good Start
Since this year started with a weekend, I've had a good start on scrapping. I have finished 9 layouts already (a couple more to upload). Some of these pages were done before the end of December. All these 5 are created based on sketches from So Sketchy, 52 Sketches, and Creative Scrappers. So Sketchy and 52 Sketches have ended at the end of December though...... I started on the next page after supper tonight but can't choose papers! I hate when this happens. Although I encounter this problem quite often, I had a smooth sailing with the ones posted here. Well, I'm gonna browse some scrapping blogs. They always motivate me :)

toontown
It didn't take me as long as I usually need to scrap a page to do this one. I created this layout based on a sketch from That Scrappy Girl. When I first saw the sketch, I thought it would be very hard to work with. But it turned out just the opposite. The most of the papers are from Cosmo Cricket's Girl Friday line which I won at That Scrappy Girl last month and I'm loving it :)

New Look
There she was, being happy wearing her new coat and boots. I got them for her as Christmas gifts and she knew I got them. She wanted to wear them so badly and she kept asking me to give them to her before Christmas!! I created this page for the first challenge at Scrap A Little. It is to use the colors pink, blue, brown, and the word "new" in the title. I have been using black, white, or neutral color cardstocks for the background lately and I can't remember the last time I used a bright color cardstock for the background. So this was kinda refreshing. Besides, it had to be used one day! It turned out to be simple looking but I like how it turned out :)
Good bye 2009
... is the title of my page that I am posting here today. This photo was taken on 12/31/09. I wan't home at that time and she was going out with her friend before I would get home. So her friend took this photo for me. I created this layout for American Craft's this week challenge. It is to create a layout celebrating 2009 or 2010. Supplies used are.... papers: American Crafts, Rub-on: American Crafts, Thickers: American Crafts, Flowers: Prima, Pearls: Queen & Co. I pleated yellow paper strips to make borders and pleated green/white paper strip to make a flower.

Happy New Year & Scrapbook Challenges Blog Hop
Happy New Year!! Wish all of you all the best for 2010. We had a nice new year's day yesterday. We went over to my dh's parents and had black eyed peas and hog jowl. It is our tradition to eat them on New Year's day. I was going to make my very first post this year my new year's resolutions but the first thing first. Scrapbook Challenges knows very well how to kick of the new year right. They are hosting a blog hop this weekend. It started yesterday and goes on until January 3rd. They have a large, talented group of designers to offer inspirations and motivation and this blog hop is to visit their blogs. Scrapbook Challenges offers weekly challenges and sketches, too and this hop includes a fab sketch. By visiting designer's blogs, you can see each designer's take on the same sketch. I have visited them all yesterday and was amazed how the sketch can be interpreted so many ways. And not only getting inspired, you may be able to grab some RAKs along the way. Pamela explains all the details on her blog including the pictures of the giveaway packages. You can also join the hop by creating a layout based on the same sketch. Here is the link to Hop On thread where you can see other members' pages and blogs and share your creation and blog link. I worked on mine today. Below is the sketch and my take. Here is the link to Pamela Young's blog, the first stop. Have fun!!
