Playmates

I had done one layout using a photo from same photo session. That (one titled cousins) was done with Basic Grey papers. For this one, I wanted to use some fun, girly, kids-like papers. But I don't think I was successful.... I used 2 different lines of K & Company papers and some scraps. I made these flowers again. I've got feeling I will be for a while. I used Pink Sketch sketch #3 turned 90 degrees.

Oops, I did it again.

I bought some more, a lot more papers today. I was not going to. But they had a good sale at the craft store and they had new papers! Anyway, this is the page I created this afternoon. The frame in the center came from a Christmas card I received one year. I had peeled that part off of the card and cut the inside. I did that when I put this photo on the old photo album. The frame and the photo were stored just like this in that album. Since the card was a part of my memories, I wanted to keep it the same way. I pasted card stock strips on the back of the frame. Also I made the paper flowers again.

Love you 24/7

I scrapped this layout last night. Used Love Elsie papers. Made flowers with strips of papers.

Choose Your Own Path

Last night I had picked this green cardstock and patterned paper. I was going to do Method Playground's "repeat design element" challenge". I had a different design on my mind. Then as I was posting yesterday's layout, I checked 2 other challenge blogs that I enjoy. And there they were; new challenges. The new word on OLW is "Choose" and Jude's lift was out on Unpubbed. It didn't take me very long to come up with this LO. As I was scrapping with this title, I thought of Pocahontas.... By the way I received a t-shirt from OLW the other day. It was a randam prize I won when they had one year anniversary. It is a simple but cute t-shirt. My daughter got a hold of it. (lol) Well, one more day to go! I know my day tomorrow will be very busy. But after that we have 3-day weekend!! Woo hoo!

Petting Zoo

I started to shrink LO images when uploading to this blog recently. My gallery will have clearer images if you want to see the details. I used 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #34 as inspiration. Today, I took this LO photo away from the desk light and used flash. It is hard to focus when avoiding the glare.... On that day we went to a birthday party. They had it at the little theme park. They have kiddie rides and it was the right size park for a bunch of 6 year olds. We rode a train, saw a puppet show and it was fun for all the kids.

Almost 2

I had such a hard time choosing papers on this one. After I decided on papers, I had another hard time picking out embellishments. Oh well, it's done at least. The background paper is actually light green. This is done based on Pink Sketch #2.

Cousins

It's still raining hard. It may rain even harder tomorrow... Today is Sunday and Sundays are the days that new challenges come out. I've got new sketches to work with this week and am excited about it. I finished one layout today based on Page Plans #19. When my sister and her family were visiting us years ago, we had pictured made of our girls. They are about 6 weeks apart in age. I am hiding my niece's face... I haven't asked my sister if I could post her photos on my blog yet.

It's Sunday and it's raining.

I guess it's the Fay effect. It's still raining this morning. It has been since yesterday.
Yesterday we started the day with pancake breakfast at Apple Bee's. My niece and her cheerleading team had a fund raiser. After that my husband and I made some errands and came home. I did make some quickie pages in the afternoon though. Here is one of them.

Urban Prep Collection: New SIS TV collection

This is a sneek peek photo of the new kit, Urban Prep Collection on SIS TV Boutique. SIS TV is the scrappers' community where you can share your fabulous layouts and other projects, get inspired by other scrappers, and make scrapper friends all over the world. I have my gallery over there.
They came out with this new kit and it will be Available For PreOrder Until 8.24,
And they are having "Spend $50 and Get A $10 Gift Card!" special. You will be singing
"Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." That's for sure!!! Check it out!

Enjoy Every Moment

There she was being silly! I used 3 different kinds of punchs on this one which was the challenge on Scrap Your Crap. I just can't take a good picture of my layout.....

Linked by Hearts

Happy Friday! It's been a very busy week for me. I almost finished this LO last night. But I watched TV instead. This is based on So Sketchy sketch. This is only the second one with their sketch. I'm behind this month. Also, the sentiment was inspired by this week's Scrapping the Music challenge. "When you say nothing at all" is such a beautiful song. The song is actually more like about between a man and a woman, but some words made me choose this photo.

Puppy Love ?

This is a layout based on 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #33. I am also submitting this to Create Make it happen for this month' animal challenge.

Faith

Every now and then, I find her photos on my camera. She takes photos of herself sometimes. This is the last one found. I decided to scrap this one. When I ordered this photo earlier this month, I had something else in my mind. But I didn't go pick it up in time to do. This LO was done for OLW and I used the first sketch from new sketch blog, Pink Sketch.

Lovin' that face

These photos were cut into these shapes with scissors long time ago. Wish I didn't do that.

Family Fun

Another LO using Bryce Canyon photos. Based on Page Plans sketch #18, just came out this morning. It calls for a big photo and 4 small photos. These were the photos I was going to scrap next and I had arranged differently at first. When I saw this sketch this morning, I rearranged them according to the sketch and it looked so much better :) Since I used a patterned paper for mat and the photos covered the majority of the page, it turned out to be quite simple and quick. Used rub-on for the title.

Home is...

This is a 13-year old photo. Since I scrap old photos, I often think about the past. Time is the strangest thing; it goes fast, it goes slow, it is there, it disappears... We will have 18th anniversary next month. It doesn't seem like it though.... We now live in the 4th house we call home. I did this layout for The Story Matters and Use Your Stash. I sat out the first 2 challenges on The Story Matters and I am glad to participate this time. Use Your Stash has patterned paper challenge this month.

Forever

Wow. Did you see Michael Phelps won 7th gold medal ? If it wasn't for the modern technology, I don't think you could tell who won. The Olymbics definitely keeps me stay right in front of TV. Everyone that is competing is displaying such determination.
Today's layout is inspired by the song called "Forever", this week's challenge on Scrapping the Music. I also added a bow for Method Playground. I wanted to keep this one simple and clean. So no distressing of any kind. Now I'm going back to watching the games.

Healthy Eater

This week's Scrap Your Crap challenge is to use vellum. When I started scrapbooking, vellum was used for journaling. I would print on it and place it on paper with eyelets or brads. I have colored ones and some patterned ones. I am glad I got to use them. On this layout, the big pink circle and small flowers are vellum. In these photos, she was eating prune. Although she had long graduated from baby food, she still ate prune every now and then. Well, I've got to watch some Olympic games...

Fun

Yesterday was 2nd day at school for my daughter. We went school-supply-shopping. I don't like to come home late weekday nights. I ended up staying up late watching Olympics...
This layout was based on So Sketchy sketch. This is the first one this month from their sketches. This title is very ordinary. I wanted to come up with something different but I just wanted to come up with a word that I could create using the letters left on this particular sheet of stickers. And even with that, I made up "u" and "n" from other words. In the bottom photo, she was doing either "thiiiiis big" or "banzai". Those were 2 ways I could do to get her look at me so that I could take photos.

Just Be

This whole thing about Olympic games and the beginning of new school year is slowing my scrapping down. Once you turn the TV on, even the sport that I am not so interested in before, I find myself watching. I enjoyed swimming races very much yesterday. Michael Phelps and Dara Torres were amazing! Here is the layout I just finished. This is a lift of Marti's fabulous layout on Unpubbed. When I turned off the computer, what I remembered about her layout were a big circle and the positions of the main photo and the journaling. I cut out a big loop. Then I started to add paper scraps randomly.

Live Out Loud

Yesterday was the first day of school. High School, that is. So Thursday night we were going over the school map and her schedule. Her friend down the street who is a 10th grader picked her up and met with Youth group for breakfast prayer at Burger King. I was a little worried but they made it to school on time. She seems to have had a good first day.
We watched Olympic opening on TV last night. So, it took 2 1/2 days to finish this LO.
I played along Scrapping the Music for the first time. Maybe I think too much, or something. I have been wanting to participate for some time now, but I couldn't come up with anything. The song of the week is "Time of my life" by David Cook. It is such a great song but after flipping through my album, I couldn't pick a photo at all and I thought I had to sit out again. Finally I decided to use this photo and here is what I came up with. I also scrapped a few quick pages for Grand Canyon photos.

The Sweetest Mouse

Well, is it still Wednesday or already Wednesday? I've been so busy at work, I should feel it is already Wednesday. But I don't. Anyway, I just finished this page. We were invited to a Halloween party that day and she was dressed up as a mouse. We got this set that came with ears, tail, and a bow tie that squeeked. The friends that hosted the party had decorated their front yard so well. They always did it though. It was just amazing. Our fav thing to play with her at that time was "Holy Cow." When we said "holy", she would say "cow." The way she said was so sweet. I remember we did this so many times at the party and everybody went "awwww" :D
This layout is Corey's lift on Unpubbed.

Bryce Canyon

This was another beautiful place we visited during that trip. The view was breathtaking! I used a sketch from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks. This sketch was similar to the one from Page Plans that I used yesterday. Both included a large square photo. The buttons are very easily used as circles and I love them!

Family Memories

This trip to Grand Canyon was 2nd time for me and my husband. Megan and her daddy visited there without me several years later. I would love to go back again. My sister came to see us with her husband and their daughter that week. We rented a van and made this road trip. We had a great time. My husband and I made a very similar trip the year before and we wanted to show them those amazing places. I used Page Plans sketch #16. Also, I went ahead and got this week's SYC beads challenge done. I used some beads in the center of 2 chipboard flowers. I thought of threading the beads but decided it would be too much work for Monday night. I have done the same thing before with silk flowers and this sounded much better. It probably looked better with silk flowers but I liked the color of the chipboard.

CutiePie

It's already August. Time flies way too fast. Schools here start this week. My daughter's school will start Friday. Today's layout is based on Pencil Lines sketch #95. I am so behind with their sketches. There are a couple of sketches I like and I am hoping to try some time.
