Love
It's February, the month of love... I guess. So my layout to start February is about love, pink, red, and heart. I tried to make it cute rather than beautiful. The stitching is rub-on. This is based on Pink Sketch #19. This is also for SYC (pink and red), Create Make It Happen (love), and Tara's All Tangled Up (pink and stitching).

Play with abandan
Both of these layouts were done to reduce my stash. The first one is for Stash Diet. It's a challenge thread created by one of SISters on SIS tv. I used some color vellum. The second layout was done for SYC's eyelet challenge. I kept the same scheme on this one. Boy, I have lots and lots of eyelets!! I have also scrapped 3 simple quick pages today. I feel pretty good about it.

There is a child in me.
I made this LO about me. I don't normally scrap myself. I think this is my first LO that is focusing on me. The journaling is also focused on me. This one is for SYC's current challenge and InkaDink's first challenge. This is a new challenge blog I discovered last week. I am definitely a challenge-holic.

Enjoy Every Moment
There she was being silly! I used 3 different kinds of punchs on this one which was the challenge on Scrap Your Crap. I just can't take a good picture of my layout.....

Healthy Eater
This week's Scrap Your Crap challenge is to use vellum. When I started scrapbooking, vellum was used for journaling. I would print on it and place it on paper with eyelets or brads. I have colored ones and some patterned ones. I am glad I got to use them. On this layout, the big pink circle and small flowers are vellum. In these photos, she was eating prune. Although she had long graduated from baby food, she still ate prune every now and then. Well, I've got to watch some Olympic games...

Family Memories
This trip to Grand Canyon was 2nd time for me and my husband. Megan and her daddy visited there without me several years later. I would love to go back again. My sister came to see us with her husband and their daughter that week. We rented a van and made this road trip. We had a great time. My husband and I made a very similar trip the year before and we wanted to show them those amazing places. I used Page Plans sketch #16. Also, I went ahead and got this week's SYC beads challenge done. I used some beads in the center of 2 chipboard flowers. I thought of threading the beads but decided it would be too much work for Monday night. I have done the same thing before with silk flowers and this sounded much better. It probably looked better with silk flowers but I liked the color of the chipboard.

Water Fun
We had visitors at our house for the last few days and couldn't scrap much. Just a few days break from scrapping makes me feel I have a lot to catch up with. I spent some time reading blogs tonight, I didn't complete any pages. But I have one I can post today. This was done for this week's Inspiration Book challenge on SYC. The challenge was to get inspiration from the oldest book you own. The book I got inspiration from was called Simple Ideas published in 2004. That is the only book I own. It's a 24-page booklet I bought for $1.00. It was on the clearance table at Scrapbook Expo I went. It was interesting to see how the scrapbooking style has changed over the last few years.
These pictures were taken by her babysitter. I love this photo of her and Scooter (dog).

Scootin' -- SYC fabric challenge
There is a fabric challenge over at SYC. I don't have much experience using them on layouts. This one was my 3rd. I cut stars out of the fabric and traced the edges with white paint. I think fabrics have so much potential as you can see on DTs' work there, it can be used as a patterned paper, as a border, or you can make shapes out of them. Now, I am not sure about archival quality. I'm pretty sure you can find all about the use of fabric on scrapbooking somewhere on the internet. I did this layout about a month ago. I did complete 2 pages tonight but I am not posting because they include some photos of people I don't have contacts any more and I don't want to post without their permission.

Definitely A Daddy's Girl
She really is. She always has been and still is. There is a special bond between them which I am blessed to see. This photo was the same one used yesterday. My sister had it enlarged for me. I used a current sketch from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks. Also, I used those scissors to cut edged lines. It is SYC's challenge. Can't remember the last time I used them...

4th of July
This 4th of July is not this year. This was from 1995. Though these photos don't look like Independence day, they were taken on July 4th. And we celebrated it with family and friends. I did this page based on Page Plans #11 but just found out that SYC's challenge this week is patriotic theme, so I'm gonna submit there as well.

It's Wednesday already.
3 layouts today. First one was done for SYC. This week's challenge was to use borders of those papers that have designed edges. I used 2 different cardstocks and a pattern paper. The pink curved pieces are scraps from a layout that I made the other day. Since I cut some out of 2 new cardstocks, I used some more of those on the second layout. I used sketch #25 from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks. And the last one was done based on a sketch from So Sketchy. I remembered I hadn't done the fabric challenge on Method Playground. So I incorporated fabric on this one. This was my second layout to use fabric and I used same fabric I used on the first. It matched with the photos.

Happy, Busy
2 pages I did today... "happy" was done for Merthod Playground's tearing challenge and "busy" was done for SYC's many photos challenge. I can't resist these paper layered flowers these days. I used embossed cardstock to mat 2 photos on "happy".

Fun, Sippy cup
The first LO was done yesterday using the rest of "crap" from Greta. These are the very first photos taken in 1995. She was playing with toys Santa brought for Christmas. 2nd LO was done today based on Lesli's sketch #6. The sketch calls for much bigger photos but I just used the next photos on the old album. This batch of photos came out very dark. I actually had them developed 3 times. I still remember I was so upset with them. I will scrap them though. They are still precious memories!

Adore You
Happy 3-day weekend! This is another LO I completed last night. The green paper lace is a crap Greta (Scrap Your Crap) sent me. Top and bottom edges of the paper were decorated by using punches. I punched 76 times!! I am proud of the crown idea. I have never used crown embellies before. Scrappers out there use them on cute girls and boys photos and I wanted to do that some times. But the ones I have seen are kind of expensive and I wouldn't bring myself to spend that much. The pink paper is from the previous LO. The left bottom was already cut like this and I used it just like that.

First Plane Ride
I have been having a hard time with choosing papers the last few pages. This one, too. I cut different kinds of papers and couldn't find any that would go with these photos. Anyway here is what I ended up with. Used foam stamps for the title. These photos were taken on an airplane. We were going to spend Christmas with my in-laws. Done for SYC's foam challenge.

XOXO
This week's SYC challenge is all about blings. When it comes to blings, I am stingy...I mean conservative. They are expensive. But I realized I have glitter brads, glitter chipboards, rhynestone brads, etc. And I just got a package of these fabulous S.E.I. papers from Method Playground. The paper used here is foiled and so pretty. I tried to limit colors on this as well. The heart shaped photo(s) is something I am proud of. Since I had them in my old album and they happened to have been cut like that. 2 curves of the heart, I didn't even trim a bit. I just needed to cut a little on the bottom part. Without planning the page at the beginning, I just kept adding.

8 Months Old, etc
Every morning I think to myself that I will go to bed early tonight. But it is hard most days. The last night was one of them. I thought I would pick out a paper for a layout before going to bed, then the whole idea about the layout came up to my mind. So I went ahead and did the most of that page. It is titled "Americas Got Talent". This was done for Dreamgirls challenge #2. Talk about the last minute... today was the last day to submit. She was sound asleep like that. I kept the first one simple. It was her first Christmas photo. I did the 2nd LO with same photo, wallet size. I first thought to make it more Christmasy with Christmas colors or more baby girl like using pink. But below is what I did instead. I used up the left over papers from the first page. This was done for SYC's chipboard challenge.
