Cute

This is another float photo. Made based on 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #13. I have a lot more of those photos to scrap. In case you are wondering, the papers I've been using lately are from DCWV Garden Party stack and Sweet stack. I got them at half price with free shipping :):)

2 More Pages with Float Photos

I am so glad that we went to see those floats. They were so beautiful and we were amazed how detailed they were. You can't really tell unless you look at them up close. The first page was done based on Pink Sketch's sketch #26 and the second one was created based on Tara's sketch.

Craft, Beautiful

I made 2 more today. The first one is done based on My Sketch World sketch and the second one was made based on Pink Sketch.

Float

I did another page using the photos of Rose Parade floats. I did this for Cafe Mojo's embossing challenge. I embossed the border with swirls template. Also I embossed using paisley template, applied some ink, then cut into the flowers.

Dragon

It's storming outside and my tv lost the satellite signal. Hate that..... We had a bad storm last night and kept me awake. Some areas got serious damage. Hope this one won't be as bad. Did this page for Method Playground challenge. It is to create a monochromatic page and I chose black. I had done pink, yellow, and green recently and wanted to try different color. I thought red on the photo would stand out on black but it was harder than I thought. Black really doesn't have hues. They would probably gray bud I don't have any. I just gathered all the black items around and put them together. The dragon is a Rose Parade float.

Remember

Here is the page I scrapped tonight using this week's sketch from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks. It's a loose interpretaion. The sketch calls for 4 photos, I used only 2. These photos were taken when we went to see Rose Parade floats display. I stamped the title on a white card stock and cut it out.

If I Were a Rich Girl...

Dreamgirls has a challenge to create a page titled 'if I were a rich girl' using green and bling. These colors were inspired by St. Patrick's day ad on Thynner blog. I also used a loose interpretation of Page Plans #48. Those 3 strips at the bottom are the part at the bottom of Cosmo Cricket papers. I also cut out Lil' Davis logo from the embellishment backing.

Rockin'

Here is the layout I made tonight for Scrapping the Music. This week's song is "We will rock you" by Queen. I like the song but had hard time coming up with the idea. Just by looking at DT members' creations, I realized there are so many different interpretations. So this is what I came up with. I also used March sketch from My Sketch World. I used just 2 photos instead of 4.

Beach Fun & Fall Craft

These 2 were done over the weekend. The first one was based on Pink Sketch #24 and was done for recipe challenge on MSW. MSW is a scrapbooking community I joined recently. The second page was done based on getting sketchy's this month sketch. It looked hard at first but I had these photos that I had trimmed some already. So it worked very well. Besides I was able to put this many on one page.

Pumpkin & Cute Angler

I am so sleepy now. I probably need to do this tomorrow night, but I'm sure I wouldn't have any more time tomorrow than tonight. There isn't enough time to do everything I want to do. I created 2 pages tonight. The first one is titled pumpkin. I know I won't have much time scrapping this weekend so I went ahead and cover multiple challenges with this one. I used 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #10, did Tara's recipe challenge (3 pics, 2 circles, 2 pp, 1 ribbon, 1 word title), also did Method Playground's current challenge (stamping on non-paper), and one more... CMIH (to include 3 pics). I feel I cheated but with limited time, I just wanted to make sure I get them done. Maybe I get to do some more if I had time. On the other hand, I'm kinda proud of the fact I did 1 page for 4 challenges. The second page titled cute angler was done based on Pink sketch #23 and also did for Tara's use your stash challenge. Those K & Co papers and Anna Griffin paper are from 2003. I didn't know manufacturers at all when I bought them in 2004 and until I looked at the back of the paper tonight to see the year, I didn't know I had Anna Griffin paper! Now I've got to go to bed. Good night.

Addicted to...

She just loves her cell phone and can't part with it even for a second!! She is so addicted to texting!! Since I don't do any texting, it's hard for me to comprehend, but it is a way for her and her friends to communicate each other. Of course there is Facebook that she updates very frequently. And according to her, "everybody" does it. Anyway I did this for Cafe Mojo's this week challenge. I also used very loose interpretation of Page Plans #47. And the flower on this page is a chipboard flower that I used a technique that i read on CCAS. I soaked it in the water for a couple of minutes and separated into layers. Dried them overnight and covered them with papers. Since the adhesive still worked, I put it flat on the page and added the curled layer on top of it. I couldn't separate well and ended up tearing up one layer...

So Lucky

I just love working with sketches. They eliminate lots of my frustrations and give my pages versatility. For some one like me who is not as creative as lots of talented scrappers out there, working with sketches makes things easier:) Anyway, this is a page created based on My Sketch World sketch. It's Tara's challenge as well. This is the photo taken when we went to see Rose Parage floats. After the parade, they would park on the street and you can go look at them up close. It sprinkled a little that day, but the flowers were beutiful.

I wanna hold your hand.

This is my first time to participate a challenge on Scrapping Across the Universe. I have been following from the beginning but the prompts didn't fit my projects. But this time, it is to create a page inspired by the song. I am glad I was finally able to join the fun. Sarah, one of my favorite scrappers whose blog I follow won the last one. Yay for her! I used a sketch from WeScrap. Oh, I need to create a post about them soon.

Blog Candy

Just wanted to share this info. Mimi, one of Marks Paper Company's DT members, is offering 2 giveaways on her blog. They came up with great lines of papers. So take a minute and go check them out :)

Priceless

Those prices are from 2005. I'm sure they are much higher now. I think I messed up with the stamps. I first thought of typing it on the computer but these stamps are Disney princess font and would fit here. I just can't use the stamps that well. Need more practice. Anyway I did this page useing 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #9. This was done also for the current challenge at BASB (scrap about cost) and Method Playground (to use papers from 5 different manufacturers: Cosmo Criket, EK success, SEI, MMI, DCWV). I really liked working on these challenges and the sketch. I might do another one.

Birthday cake

This page was created a while ago. I hadn't posted here yet.

Silly

I did this page for the current challenge of Cafe Mojo. It is to use glimmer mist. Now, this is not the glimmer mist on this page. I don't have any and I don't have any of the items that you can make your own glimmer mist with either. So this is my own concoction in an attempt to achieve the look. It didn't turn out that good but I just had to give it a try. I wish I picked a different background paper but I spent so much time playing with the title part and I had already adhered the photos on it I just had to go with this....
