Fall '09
Hope everybody had a nice Thanksgiving. We had a big dinner at my husband's parents house. We enjoyed the dinner as well as company of twenty some family members. We had turkey, fried turkey, ham, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, 2 kinds of sweet potato casseroles, asparagus casserole, rigatoni, black eye peas, cream corn, salad, rolls, fruit salad, grape salad, 12 pies and cakes.... I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Then my daughter and I went out early on Friday for shopping. I usually work Friday after Thanksgiving and I was not going to miss out this opportunity. I actually had a whole week off :) I thought it was fun getting out early. Here is the page I got done yesterday using a sketch from Pink Sketches. I dread going back to work tomorrow...... oh well...

Trick or Treat and Happy & Free
I made only 2 pages this week. I don't do well when the time changes and I was tired most of the week. Plus, I wasn't feeling all that great this week. I am hoping I can get some scrapping done this weekend. We'll see. We may go for a drive tomorrow. Anyway, about these pages.... the first one was created based on a sketch from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks. It is a Halloween photo from 1998. She was 4 and that was the first time we took her trick-or-treating to the neighborhood. We went with her aunt and her cousin. She had a blast. The second page was done using a sketch from Pink Sketches. These photos are of her first visit to Disneyland. We snapped a few photos on Mickey's car right outside his house. I also combined this one with Scrapping the Music. The song of the week is a theme song of Happy Days. Love that show!! Have a nice weekend :)

I have a lot on my mind.
I am participating a challenge at American Crafts. It is to use 2 American Crafts products with a black & white photo. This is my first layout with a black & white photo. I also used a sketch from Pink Sketches. It turned out to be a simple page. I know I will create more pages with b/w photos. Everything, except flowers and a brad, is American Crafts.

Fun Day
I had this layout done on Sunday. This was created based on a sketch from Pink Sketches. I first thought of a different title. But I decided to use the letters from a piece of scrap paper that had the letters printed randomly. And this is what I came up with them.

Sponge Bob & Sal & Mookie's
As I am posting these pages, I realize I haven't posted a couple of pages I made last week. The second page here is a pizza joint and I have scrapped the photos from that lunch. The first page with Sponge Bob is from our visit to Universal Studios in 2005. These pages are based on the sketches from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks and Pink Sketch.

Layouts and cards
I made 2 pages and 2 cards today. The last page was made a couple of days ago. The first pages were made based on sketches from My Sketch World and Pink Sketches. I've been making cards lately because I am participating a month long crop at My Sketch World. I've said this before but say it again. I am not a card maker. But I do have desire to make pretty cards. I think the reason I don't want to go into card making (yet) is that it involves stamping and embossing and that could mean buying punches, heat tools, powders, pens, etc, etc. I'm not ready for that yet. So for now, I'm making very simple cards.

Dip & Fun
I love these Basic Grey papers!! I am posting 2 layouts tonight. The first one was done last night using a sketch from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks. I chose these photos for Butterfly Craft's favorite food challenge. My dd and my dh love spinach and artichoke dip. If they haven't tried the dip form a particular restaurant, they would try and sometimes rate them...lol. The second one was created based on a sketch from Pink Sketches. The photo was taken when we went to see a baseball game last week.

In Love with This Girl
I used Stickles for the first time. I bought a 3-bottle-pack last week. I painted a rainbow with 4 different colors then rubbed some Stickles over. This page was made inspired by the song of the week at Scrapping the Music and done based on Pink Sketch #36.

Layouts
The rest of the layouts I made this weekend. I scrapped the first one today. I was thinking about doing something else when I saw this sketch on my scrap paper. It is this month' BAP on Prima. I truely love this sketch but my Prima supplies are very limited and I wasn't sure if I could make a page. Anyway I decided to put this page together. I had one patterned paper, 2 large scraps of different patterned papers and letter chipboard of Prima. The heart isn't a complete one. If it wasn't for the prize I got last year, I wouldn't have any Prima. The second page was done based on MSW sketch and the last one was done based on the current sketch from Pink Sketch. I also made it for Butterfly Crafts. Their current one is to create a page using your favorite color. Blue was my dd's favorite color back then.

Sally
Michelle at Scrappy Times challenged us to alter chipboard flowers. I have a set of Basic Grey raw chipboard embellies but didn't know what to do other than to apply some ink. I have also bought my very first bottle of mist, Maya mist in pink. So I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try. I placed the chipboards on a sheet of scrap paper in a box and sprayed. The mist kinda seeped around the top. I think I got it a lot more on the paper than on the chipboards. It looks more red than pink though. I added some paint and pearls. I also used this week's Pink Sketches sketch.

The Cutest and Arc
These are both photos of Rose Parade floats. The first one was done based on a sketch from DUS. I didn't do any kind of distressing on this one. I wanted to keep it clean. And I followed the sketch very closely on this one. Off course my photos (of layouts) are always not so good and I wish you could see the real colors.... The second layout was done based on Pink Sketches. I has done this one a few days ago and for some reasons, I had forgotten posting it.

Beach Fun & Fall Craft
These 2 were done over the weekend. The first one was based on Pink Sketch #24 and was done for recipe challenge on MSW. MSW is a scrapbooking community I joined recently. The second page was done based on getting sketchy's this month sketch. It looked hard at first but I had these photos that I had trimmed some already. So it worked very well. Besides I was able to put this many on one page.
