5/9/10

I scrapped a couple of pages this week. The rest of them were done last weekend during NSD crop.

3/14/10

It's already Sunday afternoon and it's time to post some layouts I created this week. I've been scrapping new photos. Since I am doing Project 12 this year, I decided to get all of my photos developed monthly. I still have lots of snow photos to scrap.

Heaven's Gift

There are some "firsts" on this page. I tried masking with Maya mist. I sprayed Maya mist on circles cut out of coffee filter to make a flower. I used a paper clip. I had never done those things before. I did this page based on a sketch from Scrappy Times, inspired by the song of the week (You are so beautiful) from Scrapping the Music. I also made this one for Murder Mystery Mansion challenge (use of color, item, technique) on We Scrap. They just went together.

So Dear

This is a quick post. I am working on another page and I want to browse on-line galleries for NSD creations. Here is a page done for Mother's day theme challenge on Cafe Mojo.

Sally

Michelle at Scrappy Times challenged us to alter chipboard flowers. I have a set of Basic Grey raw chipboard embellies but didn't know what to do other than to apply some ink. I have also bought my very first bottle of mist, Maya mist in pink. So I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try. I placed the chipboards on a sheet of scrap paper in a box and sprayed. The mist kinda seeped around the top. I think I got it a lot more on the paper than on the chipboards. It looks more red than pink though. I added some paint and pearls. I also used this week's Pink Sketches sketch.

3 Layouts

These are pretty simple. Very little dimension. On the second page, I painted the paper and the chipboard letters using a coffee cup sleeve. I also applyed glossy accent on the letters. Didn't do a good job on painting. It was a technique I saw on CCAS and I wanted to try. Have a nice week!!

I wanna hold your hand.

This is my first time to participate a challenge on Scrapping Across the Universe. I have been following from the beginning but the prompts didn't fit my projects. But this time, it is to create a page inspired by the song. I am glad I was finally able to join the fun. Sarah, one of my favorite scrappers whose blog I follow won the last one. Yay for her! I used a sketch from WeScrap. Oh, I need to create a post about them soon.
