What Do You See?

I had another busy day at work. Today one of my co-workers gave me an autumn themed embellishment. She said it was on sale. It was so sweet of her to think of me.

Tonight, I made this layout. I picked out this main paper because the onesie she was wearing had animals on it. She was lifting her head up so high. Can't believe this is almost 14 years ago.

Sweet 2 Months Old

I had such a busy day at work today. I almost didn't do any scrappin' tonight. Since I had already chosen the polka dot paper, it didn't take that long to finish this layout. I think I can go to bed by 9:30pm.

Baby has taken over.

Tonight I made this layout based on a sketch from July 2006 Page Maps. I feel it still needs some improvements, but oh well, I can move onto next pictures. I am happy with these rattle shaped eyelets that I used like photo anchors.

Sweet Baby Girl

Before I get off the computer, I want to upload another layout.
Look at her toes. She was already talented as a baby. (lol)
On my traditional albums, I had added cute parts of baby cards given to us from friends. As I transfer the pictures to scrap booking albums, I am trying to keep them as well, for they are also a part of my precious memories. The frame on the bottom is one of them.
(A couple more layouts have been added to my SIS TV.)

2 Months

Here is a quick and simple page I made tonight.

SB supplies and layouts

I am definitely a sale shopper. It almost hurts me to pay regular price, especially for clothings. Although I have bought some scrapbooking materials at regular prices before, I have used coupons on $1.00 items before, too. Anyway, I went to a local craft store this afternoon. These were all 50% off except the flowers which I used a 40% off coupon on. There were a couple of items that were already gone, but I am pretty happy with my purchase.

This is a layout I made today. Daddy was calling her Trog. He is always good at coming up with funny names.

This 2nd layout was made a couple of months ago. At this pace, I have no idea how long it will take for me to finish with baby pictures.

PL 68 & ATL Peas : Mother's day

These pictures are from my first mother's day. Those words are what the card in the 3rd picture says.

OLW: still Still Growing.....

Tuesday night, since I am working with my daughter's baby pictures, I was looking at them to see if I could come up with something.... but nothing. Then I looked around my room and thought about this layout. I had a couple of pictures taken before. So I took some more and ordered them, picked them up yesterday after work, and completed this layout tonight. I never did a layout with pictures with no people in them. This is another simple layout. Other than a brad used on hearts, all I used is rub-on, stickers, stamps, and papers.

Project

Creating albums of my daughter is my on-going project. When I started scrapping, I had already finished 10 or so albums. Those are the kind you would peel clear sheet and put pictures under and cover them up with that clear sheet. I am currently working on these pictures. I am peeling them off of these old albums and scrapping. The most of them are 3x5 prints and some of them are cut with scissors into odd shapes. My pages are pretty simple. I just have to put everything though. These layouts are 2nd and 3rd pages of the first album. They are decorated with brads and flowers. Everything else is paper. I just started a layout with pictures of my room. Hope it gets done tomorrow.

Favorite

I made this layout using Pencil Lines sketch 65. I actually completed during the week this sketch was out. I also used ink pads and stamps for the first time. I always thought I wouldn't go into stamping YET. Because there are so many different types and kinds of stamps, ink pads, colors, embossing powders, techniques... and so on and on, and it could be very expensive. But I have stepped out onto that road and no going back. Luckily, ink pads went on sale that week. :) And foam stamps and clear stamps are on sale this week. Can't wait for this weekend.

Pencil Lines Sketches 66 and 67

This 2-page layout is titled "my everything". Under the word "everything", it says "Well, I was on maternity leave." (lol) My days, my world, everything was revolving around her.
Looking at this uploaded photo of the layout, I realize that it doesn't look like the actual pages. You can hardly see stamps and ink on left and right edges. Title letters were also inked. As I started taking pictures, I also learned it is not easy to take pictures of layouts, either. I guess this is a part of my learning process.

This one is for sketch 67. 3 smaller pictures open up to show more pictures. I just can't pick and choose good ones. Everything is a part of memories.

Method Playground: Challenge 10

I used brads to make "1" in the title"1 month old" and a set of brackets to write journal in between. I spent pretty much whole day today working with "1". I tried with mini round brads, with small squares, with a lot of different combinations. I used a sizzlit die as a template for brackets. I have so many different kinds of brads, but it was harder than I first thought. These photos are old but my memories are still fresh!

My very first post

It's a new year and this is my new challenge; creating a blog, something I have been thinking about doing on and off for about 2 years now. I have no idea how other bloggers manage....post, read blogs, leave comments, respond to comments .... my goodness, when will I have time to crop!? This will mainly be my scrapbooking records.

Anyway, I will see how this goes.
