One more minute

Boy, I had a busy day at work. On this LO, I was going to choose a red paper for background. But ended up with pink one. Wide strips and a bunny are from my scrap pile. I applied brown ink on a white bunny.

Know You're Loved

Today was the last day of my vacation..... I usually don't have Monday blues, but I know I will tomorrow. Well, at least this is going to be a short week. Today's LO is a lift of Unpubbed' DT, Chrissey. I'm still not sure about this grass paper.

1 more day

Can't believe my vacation is almost over. I don't think I got as many LOs done as I wanted. Tonight, I had hard time taking photos of these 2 layouts. I just gave up. These are as good as I can get.

Happy Thursday

Since I am on vacation this week, it really doesn't matter what day it is. I went with my husband to a doctor's office this morning. When we came home, I didn't feel like doing anything. I thought of going to a you-know-what-kind store, but I didn't feel like driving. I get very lazy some times. Anyway I finished up what I started yesterday and I am not posting it today. Here is a page I did a while back. I used Scenic Route papers. Earlier in May, Method Playground had a challenge to use transparency and I didn't own any. I decided to go to a scrapbooking store. It is actually pretty close to a craft store I usually go to. My experience with those specialty stores are: they have pretty stuff and pretty prices. So I had stayed away from this store. Although I couldn't go before the deadline of the challenge, I went. I bought transparency frames from a clearance basket which I haven't used. Am I supposed use them over photos or under? I also got a couple of lace papers and some Scenic Route papers and an arrow die-cut sheet. I see them used on SIS TV gallary and wanted to try them. Here is a layout. I was very stingy with papers.

It's Wednesday already.

3 layouts today. First one was done for SYC. This week's challenge was to use borders of those papers that have designed edges. I used 2 different cardstocks and a pattern paper. The pink curved pieces are scraps from a layout that I made the other day. Since I cut some out of 2 new cardstocks, I used some more of those on the second layout. I used sketch #25 from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks. And the last one was done based on a sketch from So Sketchy. I remembered I hadn't done the fabric challenge on Method Playground. So I incorporated fabric on this one. This was my second layout to use fabric and I used same fabric I used on the first. It matched with the photos.

Love You, Simply Beautiful

The first layout is based on Pencil Lines #89. I was looking at what's left on 2 sheets of felt alphabets and tried to come up with a short word for title. I ended up with "love you" using a heart shaped chipboad for "love" and a felt letter "u" for "you." I also tried to use scraps. And sticky stiches were used here. I will make an effort to use it where possible to finish it up. The sticky part on the back is not so sticky anymore. 2nd layout was done based on Page Maps Sep 2007 sketch. I think my sister got this photo enlarged for me.

2 Layouts

I am on vacation this week. This means that I don't have to go to work this week. I had never taken vacation when I don't have absolutely no plans before. I don't have any plans but my work requires to take at least one 5-day vacation a year, I decided to take it now. The rest, I will be taking one day at a time. So far I did laundry and some cleaning at home. I scrapped 2 today. I actually started another one and almost finished with it too. But before I get too sleepy, I wanted to post the 2 I finished. The first one is a quickie. 2nd one is based on Page Plans #10. I used it side ways. That was the only time I used this baby leash.

Chase Me

I put all the photos taken that day into this LO. Since they were already cut, I could fit them all. This was such a fun, happy day, it made me so upset when I picked these photos up. We all laughed a lot. Used paints.

Happiness

Another LO using blue photos. I will have one more LO with blue photos. I remembered I had another kind of flower Sizzix die. I cut them with scraps for this LO. Looking at these photos, I still remember where these toys came from... I need to write them down so that she will know when she gets older.

First Girls Day

She had her first "hinamatsuri" at her aunt's house. We celebrated it with her cousin. I still feel bad that she got sick... This LO was done for the first challenge of Scrap x Scrap.

Fun

Continued to scrap these not-so-good photos. Used a sketch from so sketchy.

First Time using a spoon

I used a sketch from noelmignon.com challenge. I thought of adding some ribbon to this LO and submit to Dreamgirls challenge. But I already did one the other day so I decided to pass today. I really like this design. Too bad the photos aren't so good....

Love you forever

Got so late. Scrapped some more blue photos. The background paper is more green than it looks on screen. These photos were cut like these already. Took an easy way out on titles :)

One, Play hard

2 layouts to post today. I had most of these done last night. The first one was her first b-day photo. No matter how hard the photographer and we tried, she wouldn't smile... done based on gettin' sketchy #12. The senond one was done based on Page Plans #9. When I first saw this sketch, it seemed to be a hard one. But the whole things came together pretty quickly. All the pictures from this roll of film came out blue. I remember how upset I was when I got these pictures back. But thanks to scrapbooking, they don't look that bad now.

Happy Father's Day

I scrapped this layout late last night. I used paint again. I found another great blog called My Daughter's Wish. This week (or last week already) had a paint challenge. And I happened to have used paint on my page for the first time. It is so much fun to see other scrappers' work. They inspire me a great deal.

Don't disturb.

I have bought some paints recently for the first time. And here is my first LO using paints. Blue one was not the kind of blue I thought it was, so I used pink mostly. We were on a plane going to Japan. It was not crowded at all and we were able to use extra seats. She was able to sleep comfortably.

Bored

Scrapped 2 photos taken at Los Angeles airport while waiting for our flight to Japan. We had bought this umbrella stroller for this trip. She wanted to get out of this stroller and move around. I will add some journaling later. Applied orange ink all around the paper.

Whee

The current challenge on Method Playground is to use stamps as a pattern paper. At first, I thought of stamping flowers.. pink on pink or blue on blue. But I thought it could be boring. So I just started stamping with orange and blue inks on yellow cardstock. I didn't know what photos to use though. By this time, she was enjoying swinging.

No fun

She was sick the week these photos were taken. So Sketchy June.

Fast Friend

I just scrapped this page. Need to add some journaling somewhere. Too tired tonight.

One of a kind

This sketch of Page Plans came out just in time for me to scrap these photos. It was a perfect match!! I hand cut flowers. I wasn't sure if I could make a page for OLW before Friday and I really wanted to enter this one. So I came up with this title.

Give Love

Well, I bought some more papers today (at 50% off!!). My daughter and I went shopping. She needed to get a book for summer reading and we went to a book store. Since we were already up there, we visited a couple more stores. You know how it goes....
This was one of the favorite things to do with her. When we said "give love," she would give the biggest hug she could give. In these photos, she was giving love to the teddy bear. One of the photos was already cut like that. This is a lift of Stephanie on Unpubbed.

Big Girl Swing

We had moved into this house a few weeks earlier. Megan got this swing that her cousin Daniel was using. She didn't look too comfortable in it for the first time.
The sketch that this layout was based on had a big circle photo in the center. I thought of using a rectangular one in the middle and 2 round ones on the sides. But instead, I made a circle by stitching. I messed up a little where the flower is. Nice cover-up, I think. 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #22.

Glowing

Her babysitter got this Gloworm for Christmas. Stitched around the middle photo. Unpubbed, Nicole's lift.

Yum

Based on Page Plans #7.

First Step

I hand cut the ring and stapled ribbons. The toy key ring that she was holding in the photos inspired me. I had to apply some ink with Q tip over the letters "first" since they were not dark enough. Based on Pencil Lines #86.

My latest pages

3 pages to post today. The first one doesn't have a title. This may not even be counted as a layout. The top 2 photos were already used on another layout. I didn't want to make a page with the other 2 photos but still wanted to keep them. So I picked this purple paper and a blue flower paper from the scrap pile and put them together. "Keep on Smiling" was done based on Sketch This #52. I had to resist paper layered flower and used stars instead. And "walker" was scrapped based on one of May sketches from So Sketchy. I used this one a few days ago and used it again. Background card stock is actually a much brighter blue. But my picture came out a little dark. New month and new week mean new sketches and challenges.
Have a nice week!
