I had a sketch to work with. But this LO took me 2 nights to finish. I still need to add journaling. The sketch has 4 same size squares under the photo. I thought this would be good to use some scraps. After having inked the scalloped cs with blue ink, I cut out 4 squares. They didn't go together as well as I thought they would. So I cut a couple more squares. I still couldn't match them. I ended up covering the entire area with different size scraps. This great sketch is Julie's at 52 Sketches...52 Weeks.

Bliss
2 layouts here. The first one was done based on Rough Draft #3 and also for Scrap your crap using halloween stuff. I used spider and witch's hat eyelet as well as a piece of halloween ribbon. This was Saturday after Halloween and the kids wore costumes to Gymboree. Miss Alice, the instructor, gave me this photo on a later day. I really like these photos of two of them on the second layout. They fill my heart with such happiness... I remember that day very well. We drove out to Lake Elsinore/Tamacula area. After leaving this overlook point, we went to the outlet mall. It was a very hot day. There was a little happening at one of the stores there...

spot in my soul
Here it is. I got this one done! This is for Scrapping the Music. The song of the week is "All summer long". This one turned out to be all paper page. I used some scraps as well. She was making a serious look on purpose. But of course she couldn't keep it too long.
2 layouts
It didn't take me that much to do the first layout. Once I picked papers, everything else came easily. I used the letter stamps for the first time in a long time. I also used scraps for circle flowers. This is a simple page but I like the outcome. This was done for The Story Matters' current challenge. This one was easy enough for me to participate. The second layout today was inspired by the poem "The Road Not Taken". This was the challenge that Jann came up with for Stash Diet #3. As usual, other than the green cs, the smaller pieces of papers came from the scrap box. Now I'm going to see if I can scrap for one more before tomorrow's deadline.

Give Blood
I did this page for Page Maps challenge. It was to scrap something that is meaningful to me using Becky's sketch. She is wearing the t-shirt I got when I went to give blood the other day. Blood donation is very important to me and I am hoping she will consider doing when she gets old enough. I had hard time choosing papers on this one. I wanted to write jounaling directly on the paper and I started to. But it wouldn't show clearly enough on the pattern on the papers I decided to write it on the another piece of paper instead. I hand cut the circle photo. My first atempt. It doesn't look as good, but oh well... I am pretty happy how this one turned out.

All Girl
My titles are starting with "all" lately. I didn't mean to pick this one like this, but I had this title sticker already and it was just easy to do. My first idea was something like "grow" initially. She was growing so fast that the dress she was wearing looked so small.... One of my sisters-in-law is in town and we went out to eat tonight. Although I had 80 % of this LO done last night, I was too tired to do much. This is a loose interpretation of 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #42.

Gymboree
This was such a great sketch on Rough Draft. I wish I chose a different paper. I added some white paint but it didn't help at all.... oh well...

All Natural
I did this page for Dreamgirls' challenge. The current challenge is to use black, pink, and lace. No patterned papers allowed. Since the lace I used is white, I kept it minimum. It was included in a kit from Scrap Muse and turned out to be my first lace. I like how this LO turned out and I may scrap another page with the same design....

Sweet
TGIF from the bottom of my heart! I started this LO last night and just got finished. These patterned papers are Prima's and my first ones. I have never had opportunity to buy them before and will probably not for a long time. But my prize as a winner on I Inspire Me texture challenge was a kit from Scrap Muse and it included 3 gorgeous Prima papers and card stock alphabet. So I did this page using Prima's Build-A-Page October sketch. I also sanded photo edges for the first time. Didn't do a good job... Those papers are double sided and I used only 2. The paper flowers, jounaling strips, and the red/white paper are actually same paper.

All Me
This LO is another one to document her being silly. As I tried to get her to smile for the camera, she made funny faces. Those photos still make me laugh.... based on 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #41. Love this sketch and Julie's sample is so beautiful.

Where is your smile?
Well, there she was not smiling for me. I just wanted to take one good snapshot on the plane but she didn't have the same idea. Instead of making faces, she got a serious look this time. Done based on gettin' sketchy sketch. I have skipped a few sketches and I'm glad I was able to do this one.

Love Sketches
I just love working with sketches. They eliminate a lot of my frustration. I did all these yesterday afternoon. From top to bottom, Page Plans #26, Rough Draft #1, and Pink Sketch #9. I was also able to use up some scraps. And that always makes me happy.

More LOs today
I finished 2 layouts today. Both for challenges. The first one is for Method Playground and Use Your Stash. Both had rub-on challenge. The title, brackets, decorations on top of photos are all rub-ons. I don't have many rub-ons and can't be very generous with them (lol). The second LO was for the new challenge blog, Get your MOJO on. Their first challenge was to create a page about a word that means a lot to me. In my head, there was a picture/formula, humor --> laugh --> happy --> peace. I just love to watch her being silly. I didn't like the color of the button and painted it pink. These LOs turned out quite simple. For better, clearer images, please see my gallary.

Cool kid
This layout was done using 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #40. The original sketch and Julie's sample are so cute. I am hoping to use this aketch when I get bigger photos.

You are my #1.
I scrapped this one inspired by "the tide is high" on Scrapping the Music. I wanted to make it simpler but it's kind of hard to make it both simple and pretty. I'm glad I was able to use this old paper.

Christmas Spirit
I skipped a couple of album full of photos to do this one. This LO was done for Stash Diet #2 by Jann at SIS tv.

Ventura Beach
Finished this LO based on Pink Sketch #8. We were going to Santa Barbara on that day but the traffic was so bad. We decided not to go. We turned around in Ventura area and stopped at the beach for a few minutes. This turned out to be the only time visited that beach.

Picnic
This turned out to be super simple. I used Page Plans #25. These are the photos from company picnic. The company I was working for at that time... They told us that Mickey and Minnie were coming and you can imagine how disappointed we were. They had great food and kids had lots of fun regardless.
Big Smile
This is not a good photo of the LO. But the background cardstock is white. This was done for I Inspire Me metal inspired challenge. I got my inspo from the metal handles of my scrapbooking desk drawers. See the second imange here. I incorporated the shape of the handle and simplicity.

Play with abandan
Both of these layouts were done to reduce my stash. The first one is for Stash Diet. It's a challenge thread created by one of SISters on SIS tv. I used some color vellum. The second layout was done for SYC's eyelet challenge. I kept the same scheme on this one. Boy, I have lots and lots of eyelets!! I have also scrapped 3 simple quick pages today. I feel pretty good about it.

Glorious Sunshine
This is a scraplift on Unpubbed. When I saw Deana's LO, I thought of this paper i had. I like this paper design but didn't know how to use it without hiding the great design. I am glad to be able to scraplift her pretty LO.

Fabulous Memories
I don't know how many pages I have already created from the photos taken there on that day. This was scrapped based on 52 Sketches...52 Weeks #39. This was such a great sketch to work with.

Celebrate good times
First of all, I found out that I was chosen as a winner of Linen inspired challenge over at I Inspire Me. My entry is LO posted on 10/1. How cool is that! That was my first time participation there and I am already a winner! This is so exciting. Now I see things differently. You can get inspiration from just about anything out there. Here is a layout I scrapped tonight. This is based on Page Plans #24 and done for Scrapping the Music. This week's song is Celebration. Celebrate good times, celebrate the life, celebrate new season.... it could mean a lot of things.
