2 pages I did today... "happy" was done for Merthod Playground's tearing challenge and "busy" was done for SYC's many photos challenge. I can't resist these paper layered flowers these days. I used embossed cardstock to mat 2 photos on "happy".

Card and LO
Happy Friday!!! I had a super busy week at work. So glad it's Friday. Yesterday I received a prize package from Page Plans. That was from a drawing on National Scrapbook Day earlier this month. They sent me a sheet of epoxy stickers and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I wanted to try the embossing folder. I am glad that the folder worked on my Sizzix machine. I just got a piece of pink card stock and embossed and applied pink ink. That made me want to make this card based on a card sketch of the week from Page Plans. It's not much of a card but I wanted to post to show this pretty embossing design. And I scrapped a 12 x 12 page. I will need to add some journal to it.

Silly
I went to give blood after work today and didn't get home until after 7:00pm. Needless to say, I didn't spend as much time as I wanted on scrapping. But I still wanted to finish a page.
This one is done based on a sketch from So Sketchy. I used same photos on it. Since I had them developed 3 times and had extra.

2 pages
I didn't scrap yesterday at all. My husband said there is more to life than just scrapbooking... Anyway I just browsed online gallery yesterday afternoon. I made 2 pages tonight though. I put scrap papers together on the first one. 2nd one is based on May sketch from So Sketchy.

Fun, Sippy cup
The first LO was done yesterday using the rest of "crap" from Greta. These are the very first photos taken in 1995. She was playing with toys Santa brought for Christmas. 2nd LO was done today based on Lesli's sketch #6. The sketch calls for much bigger photos but I just used the next photos on the old album. This batch of photos came out very dark. I actually had them developed 3 times. I still remember I was so upset with them. I will scrap them though. They are still precious memories!

Adore You
Happy 3-day weekend! This is another LO I completed last night. The green paper lace is a crap Greta (Scrap Your Crap) sent me. Top and bottom edges of the paper were decorated by using punches. I punched 76 times!! I am proud of the crown idea. I have never used crown embellies before. Scrappers out there use them on cute girls and boys photos and I wanted to do that some times. But the ones I have seen are kind of expensive and I wouldn't bring myself to spend that much. The pink paper is from the previous LO. The left bottom was already cut like this and I used it just like that.

Special Christmas
These photos were taken on Christmas day... after all the presents were opened and people left and the house got quiet again. Used S.EI. papers and ribbons, jolee's embellishments, Making Memory's flowers and ribbons. I want to get some clear blings and place them around the journaling. Done based on Page Plans sketch #5.

Quiet Time
These are the photos taken after the kids opened their presents and after everybody that was visiting left. We were staying there at Mom & Dad's. I put clear and blue beads on the center of white flower and poured Glossy Accents over. Used foam stamps for the title again. Done for 52 Sketches...52 Weeks sketch #20.

First Plane Ride
I have been having a hard time with choosing papers the last few pages. This one, too. I cut different kinds of papers and couldn't find any that would go with these photos. Anyway here is what I ended up with. Used foam stamps for the title. These photos were taken on an airplane. We were going to spend Christmas with my in-laws. Done for SYC's foam challenge.

Packing
Scrapped only with papers. I just didn't know what to do with this one. We were leaving for MS and at the same time we were packing to move into a house we were going to rent. The next photos are of Christmas. I really dread.... they are random snap shots of opening gifts.

My Girl
We went to our nephew's high school graduation this afternoon. My daughter's school will be out Wednesday. She's got 2 more tests before she finishes 8th grade. Time flies. Kids grow up way too fast!
I have skipped some photos to do today's page done for Sketch This. I have Christmas photos before this page. This red China dress was a gift from my co-worker at that time. She got it in Hong Kong. I used lace cardstock I bought yesterday. I had never used it before but have seen them used by a lot of scrappers. I am glad I finally got some. I bought this one and green star kind. I think I will be very stingy. lol

Tis the season
Today, I went to give blood....but didn't or couldn't. After a technitian stuck the needle, he couldn't find my vein and another one tried to find it and moved the needle around. It really hurt. The last time I gave blood one person stuck the needle and another had to adjust. It wasn't a very good experience. But I will probably try again. Then went to a scrapbooking store. I usually go to a craft store for my scrapbook supplies these days. But I wanted to try some different items I see used on scrapbook gallaries. For the first time I bought some things there.
Anyway, 2 layouts done today. I had a hard time with the first one. My mind was totally blank and couldn't pick papers. 2nd one was based on a sketch from Page Maps June 2006.

Jolly Old St. Nicholas
We went to our nephew's graduation party tonight. So I'm late posting a layout tonight. Never say never...... I thought I would never use this green card stock. I cut 2 windows out of the papar for title sticker and the photo. This was taken at a mall. The first and the last time taking pictures with Santa at a mall. And this is the only one I bought. A laminated wallet size photo... Of course she had no idea what was going on... and naturally she didn't want to sit on his lap.

Scrapped but....
When I got home, my TV wasn't working. It turned on, but signal was not connecting to sattelite. I unplugged a cord ( I just picked one) and left it off for a while before plugged back on. Thank goodness it works again. Meanwhile I did something I haven't done lately.... cleaning up. I never took time to put things back lately (I am talking about scrapbooking supplies) where I usually store. Brads are all over, chipboard got mixed up, paper scraps are spread all over the floor. I could do some more but it looks better :) I don't know where to put them, but I need some more albums. Anyway, I finished up the page I was almost done last night. This is a page for a contest and I won't be able to post unitl they are done with the contest. I will start working on next page but don't think I will finish tonight. So glad tomorrow is Friday though. Hope everyone has a great one.

XOXO
This week's SYC challenge is all about blings. When it comes to blings, I am stingy...I mean conservative. They are expensive. But I realized I have glitter brads, glitter chipboards, rhynestone brads, etc. And I just got a package of these fabulous S.E.I. papers from Method Playground. The paper used here is foiled and so pretty. I tried to limit colors on this as well. The heart shaped photo(s) is something I am proud of. Since I had them in my old album and they happened to have been cut like that. 2 curves of the heart, I didn't even trim a bit. I just needed to cut a little on the bottom part. Without planning the page at the beginning, I just kept adding.

Mom's Love
This LO was done for Julie's sketch #19. I flipped this sketch upside down. I feel I need something to make the top photo stand out. Oh well....

Happy Monday
The first 2 pages were done yesterday. Both for UnPubbed. Can't believe I didn't use any flowers nor buttons on these. 3rd page was scrapped tonight using Page Plans sketch #4. When I saw this sketch, I thought, oh no circles! I don't have a circle cutter and for the past sketches that called for circles, I have used distressing, inking, ribbons, flowers... whatever covered up imferfection. This time, I stitched. In the part where a smaller pic is, I cut kind straight. So to hide it, I came up with another circle. But you can tell that the photo wasn't cut into a pretty circle. I also used bigger buttons on circles. Except a heart on the flower and hand-cut swirls, this LO was made with just circles. I think that is my first. That is a good thing about participating challenges. They give me try something new all the time and give my pages a veriety.

LO
Happy Mother's Day
There has been a city fair at a park by our house. Yesterday was the last day and ended with beautiful fire works. I took some pics from my front door. I don't care about rides and vendors nor the concert. But I really enjoy watching fire works.

Sweetheart
The next pictures from my old album are giving me a hard time. I just can't pick papers. I cut out this vine/swirls design off of a paper. But I can't get them to match with pics or any papers. So I put them aside and worked with different pics. This is for Pencil Lines sketch #83. I made it small. At the beginning, I was not going to use the pink card stock. But after drawing a frame along the edge of the green card stock, I decided I needed another color. So I cut and distressed, and inked the green card stock and paste it onto a pink one. I thougt I would draw a frame ( just line(s)) but didn't. Now looking at it on the screen, LO looks a little too simple. Happy Mother's Day tomorrow to all the mothers out there!!

Today & Always..
It's been a busy week. Can't believe it's already Friday. I scrapped a page as usual. Maybe I didn't need those blue strips...

Best Buddies
One done, 4 to go. Yes, I am counting toward the weekend. Had such a busy day at work. Today's LO was done based on Julie's sketch #18. Because 2 of the photos were already cut, it was kind of difficust to balance them side by side. As usual, I had to keep this order. I made the smallest one into a tag. For these, I actually have 2nd copies. I used to order double prints and gave some out, but I kept these. I may do another LO with the same pics. Julie's sketches have been really challenging. What makes it hard for me is circles and larger photos. Since my photos were already developed and they are small, I have been putting 2 together to fill a large photo block. I guess I just have to keep adopting sketches my way to accomodate my pics. The important thing is that I am having a good time in the process of doing it.

Won again.
I just found out that I won the random drawing on Page Plans yesterday. If you completed a LO and/or a card based on sketches yesterday, they would put you in the pool for drawing. Wow, I am so lucky. This challenge blog just started a few weeks ago, and is giving us really challenging sketches. They are also giving great inspiration to those create cards!
NSD Projects
Yesterday was National Scrapbook Day (NSD) and there were many events going on on different challenge blogs/sites. After I posted the LO yesterday, I was able to complete and submit some more. I had a very busy afternoon. Since I went to a store in the morning and went out to eat lunch with my family, I had a late start. 2nd one I completed was a card; from Chris' card sketch on Page Plans. They had 2 sketches out for us to challenge yesterday and all the entries would be pooled for drawing. This is my first card in a long time. I am glad I had this opportunity. Then I visited A Scrappin' Friendsy. They had problems with gallery and I didn't visit the site for a while. But something told me to check it yesterday and I was so glad I did. Their forum had just been reopend and NSD specials had started Thursday. I decided to take on a couple of challenges and I submitted 2 last night. And the last one I completed last night was Martha's jack. To celebrate NSD, there is going to be a drawing for all the entries linked by tonight. Can't wait to find out the result. The last LO I am posting today is for another challenge on ASF.
We went for a drive today.... drove down to Hattiesburg. It's been a pretty day. Since I stayed up late last night, I am sooooo tired. I didn't participate any challenge on SISTV. Maybe next year. Some scrappers kept up with their inspiring hourly challenges. Hat off to them!! Hope everyone has a good week.

The Night before Christmas
This was done for Break the Border challenge on Method Playground. Although that's the reason I continue to participate challenges, this really took me out of my comfort zone. I may reposition the moon and reindeer..... I had never done this much cutting!
Winner !!!!
I am sooooo excited. I was selected as a winner of Hybrid challenge on Method Playground. Of all the challenges I have participated so far, I think this would be the least likely for me to win. I had never try anything digital before. I guess, I will explore my Scrapbook Designer CD Rom some time. I am almost done with the current Out of Border challenge. I was definitely going to pass this time, but now that they selected me as a winner, I would challenge :)
Ok, here is my first LO tonight. Pencil Lines #82.

Cherish the moment
This layout was done based on Julie's sketch #17. The main part was supposed to be a big circle. But I don't have a circle cutter and if I was going to cut it myself, I would want it to be perfect on this page, I didn't want to try. I just rounded the corners instead. The bottom border looked to simple, so I placed the bracket there. The whole LO still looks too plain. Oh well, it's done anyway.
