Happy Friday Eve! I created this page for the inking challenge on Cafe Mojo. Inking is something I do often so I wanted to do something a little different since it is a challenge. I punched holes around the edged card stock using eyelet setter, then applied ink while covering the cardstock with scrap papers to create straight lines. I'm glad I was able to do this page... today is the last day to participate. These are Rose Parade float photos (again).

Sarah's RAK
Sarah is offering 2 giveaways on her blog. She serves as a DT on several blogs. I love her cute and unique style. All you need to do is to leave a comment on her blog.
Cherish the Moment
I'm still scrapping Rose Parade float photos. Just a little more to go. I created this page for this week's challenge on Scrapping Out Loud. It is to use the color you never use. That would be purple for me. Looks like purple is not a popular color when it comes to scrapbooking. I have never used purple as the main color before. I realize I don't use yellow or orange either. I scrapped using the sketch and the title of the week. I'm pretty happy with how this page turned out :)

Razzle Dazzle
This page was created inspired by the song, Razzle Dazzle, the current challenge on Theatre Love Challenge. These photos were taken right before we left for her recital. She was in a dance team.

Flower Power
Another page with Rose Parade float photos. Since I have already created several pages with those photos, I didn't add any journaling and made this page very simple. Did this for Grid challenge on Scrapping Out Loud. I had made this page a couple of weeks ago and thought of making a similar one but I am out of black card stock! I don't think I have ever made a page this simple....

Sally
Michelle at Scrappy Times challenged us to alter chipboard flowers. I have a set of Basic Grey raw chipboard embellies but didn't know what to do other than to apply some ink. I have also bought my very first bottle of mist, Maya mist in pink. So I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try. I placed the chipboards on a sheet of scrap paper in a box and sprayed. The mist kinda seeped around the top. I think I got it a lot more on the paper than on the chipboards. It looks more red than pink though. I added some paint and pearls. I also used this week's Pink Sketches sketch.

Bear Family
Another page with Rose Parade float photos. Cafe Mojo has a button challenge this week. This is my entry for it.
Magical
Here is what I did for the latest challenge that just came out today on BASB. It is to use something new, something old, something borrowed and something blue. For something new, I used die-cuts from Making Memories Just Chillin' line and some pearls from Queen and Co. For something old, I used a circle tag and Jolee's photo corners. For something borrowed, I pleated a paper strip and added cut out butterflies. La Verne's example layout inspired me to do this. And for something blue, I used blue felt border flowers. These photos are.... you guessed it.... Rose Parade float photos. It's storming outside. The perfect day to scrap :)
The Cutest and Arc
These are both photos of Rose Parade floats. The first one was done based on a sketch from DUS. I didn't do any kind of distressing on this one. I wanted to keep it clean. And I followed the sketch very closely on this one. Off course my photos (of layouts) are always not so good and I wish you could see the real colors.... The second layout was done based on Pink Sketches. I has done this one a few days ago and for some reasons, I had forgotten posting it.
Real
I put these little pieces of ribbons to make flowers because Cafe Mojo's sponsor challenge is to use ribbons in unique way. I'm sure it has been done by someone somewhere already. But I never did it before and I like how they turned out. These are Rose Parade float pics.
Dream
I worked on this page last night. I did this for Scrapping out Loud, challenge blog I found out lately. This week's challenge is to use paint. I also used their sketch and the word of the week. This photo was taken before we went to her school recital. So she had make-up on.

Gift and Honor
Tonight, I worked on this page. This was done for a new Dreamgirls challenge that came out yesterday. It is to use a movie quote as title, to show journaling, and to use chipboard. My page title is "The greatese gift and honor is having you for a daughter." This quote is from Mulan. I first thought of using "Life's a box of chocolates" but I thought this one here would fit with the photos better.

Sesame St.
Here is another page with Rose Parade float pics. I used piercing on this page. It is the current challenge on Cafe Mojo. I was going to use a patterned paper under the photos but couldn't find anything that matches with the photos so I decided to do without. Piercing is a very economical way to decorate a page!

Colorful
Well, yesterday I found this challenge blog called Real Life Scraps. It's a monthly challenge blog hosted by 2 ladies (Brianna and Jamie) and is carrying the ideas of Simple Scrapbook Magazine. I missed the first 2 challenges but I jumped on this month' challenge. It is to use green as the main color. That's it! If this link doesn't take you straight to the entry. See 4/3 entry. So why not give it a go? The tags used here are the bottom parts of the ones I used on a page I posted yesterday. I had cut the parts that would be hidden under the papers.

Die Cut Machine Giveaway
Simply Hand Made is having a HUGE giveaway. I think you want to be in it for a chance!!
Thank You Card
Today I was going to make a card. Now I am not a card maker and not a stamp person. But this month' guest designer challenge at Scrappy Times is to make a card and I wanted to be a part of it. The challenge had things to include, but I didn't know where to start. So I turned to a card sketch. I knew about this card sketch site, Card Patterns, thru Michelle and here is what I created. I thought of using a 3-D dots to pop up the stamped image but I wanted to mail this card and wanted to make sure it would fit in the envelope. So I adhered it flat. I know there is sooooo much to stamping. So I am not planning to go into card making that much... not yet.......

Beauty & Rain Forest Cafe
It's already a week into April and it should be warm but it was frosty this morning! Then it warmed up to about 70 degrees. We've got one crazy weather! Here are the 2 pages I scrapped tonight. The first one was done for DSI #4. This one was to use black base, journaling strips, multiple small photos, patterned papers cut into the same size as photos. Since I can't print small photos, I thought I would pass this one. Then I thought maybe I could cut a 4x6 photo into 6 2x2 pieces. And that's what I did. I had hard time arranging those pieces though. It looks better when you flip this page 90 degrees. What do you think ?? The second page was done for BASB. This one was also hard. This is to use plain paper/card stock, stams and photos. I am not a stamp person. I didn't have any idea what else to do with this. I thought of stamping the background with different color inks but I got lazy...didn't want to clean the stamp each time. So here is the result. Anyway these were tough!

Spring is in the Air

Dream
I created this page based on this week's 52 Sketches...52 Weeks sketch and inspired by 'Dream On' by Aerosmith, the song of the week on Scrapping the Music. She took these photos herself yesterday. I ordered them online and picked them up on my way home from work. On the right photo, she was reading a text message on her cell phone.... She hasn't gotten tired of it yet.

Mr. Bear & Hangin' Out
I created 2 pages this afternoon. The first one titled Mr.Bear was done for Scrappy Times color challenge. I now know why I don't participate color challenges. They are so hard! I had to look for the papers with the colors first then picked this photo. The papers and accents are mostly of Making Memories. I also made this one the entry for Butterfly Craft challenge. The second page was done based on Page Maps sketch. My dd took my camera with her when she went out with her friends during Spring break. They went to Borders and acted silly (I'm sure).
